Coaching is focused on the present and future. It’s an action-oriented partnership that helps your teen figure out where they want to go and build the skills to get there. While we absolutely work on emotional challenges like stress and self-doubt, our primary goal is to equip your teen with practical tools for building confidence and momentum in their life.

How long does it take to see results from coaching? While every teen is different, you can often see small, positive shifts in attitude and communication within the first few sessions. Building new habits and creating lasting change in areas like confidence and motivation typically takes more time. Most of our clients work with a coach for three to six months. This gives them enough time to build a trusting relationship, learn new strategies, and practice them until they become second nature.

What is my role as a parent in this process? Your role is to be a supportive ally. The most helpful things you can do are to create a stable, encouraging environment at home and to respect your teen's privacy. The coaching sessions are a confidential space for them to open up without fear of judgment. Instead of asking for a play-by-play of their session, focus on celebrating the small wins you notice, whether it's a more positive attitude or a new willingness to handle their responsibilities. Your encouragement reinforces the progress they're making.

Is everything my teen says to their coach kept private? Yes, confidentiality is the foundation of a trusting coaching relationship. Your teen needs to know they have a safe space to be completely honest. However, there is one critical exception: their safety. If a coach believes your teen is in danger of harming themselves or others, they are ethically and legally required to take action to ensure everyone's safety, which would include notifying you. This boundary is made clear to your teen from the very beginning.
